In August 2023, I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Jitender in my capacity as General Practitioner caring for over 100 residential patients at the Laurieton Lakeside  Aged Care Facility.

Jitender was originally brought to my attention by the anecdotal medical network in our area, since he also works with other GPs in other facilities. He came to me highly recommended.
 
During August and September of 2023, Jitender willingly took charge of care for my patients for 4weeks, whilst I was absent and therefore unable to attend in person. When I was called to extend my absence, Jitender happily continued his care for an extra week that was not in our original agreement.
 
The Facility predominantly uses three computerised packages, PCS, Best Practice and EMMA, all three of which Jitender was able to use in a competent and timely manner. As such he was able to minimise formal contact with myself, limiting this to a few occasions which were absolutely necessary.
 
By way of appraisal, Jitender has a good understanding on how aged care facilities operate - certainly comparable with that of many attendant GPs. I appreciated his diligent and competent administration of care to my residents, and found him reliable in attending to all requests by staff and the outside pharmacy. He conducted himself in a very professional, considerate and respectful manner towards the Facility’s nursing staff, and recognises the difficulties of the position, such as the necessity to report any and every incident that occurs.
 
On my return from leave, Jitender left me a thorough handover, making  a smooth transition for me back into the workplace. I was also pleased to hear staff at all levels were very happy with Jitender's support.

Bearing all the above in mind, as well as his experience with other facilities and GPs, I believe he is a valuable addition to any team that he works with. I certainly won’t hesitate to seek his support again in the future, and can thoroughly recommend him for any like position where a competent independent professional is valued.

I have worked with Jitender Kapila, nurse practitioner for the past few years. I have found Jitender Kapila to be very professional and he has very good clinical knowledge. Jitender Kapila is reliable and approachable. He has excellent clinical skills. Jitender Kapila keeps good medical records and he prescribes appropriately as per the current clinical guidelines. Jitender Kapila also works well within a team setting and this is reflected with how he liaises with other general practitioners and nurses in aged care.

Separately, I also work with many nurses and staff in several different residential aged care facilities in Port Macquarie who are employed by Reliance Health Services. I have also found the RNs, ENs and AINs that are employed by Reliance Health Services to have very high standards. They present well and they are consistently kind and caring towards the residents. I have found from many positive experiences that the staff working for Reliance Health Services are hard working, approachable, polite, respectful and professional.
The residents and also the nurses and doctors working in residential aged care facilities have respect and a high opinion of the staff that work for Reliance Health Services as Reliance Health Services has a very good reputation locally.
