- Jitender Kapila is a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in aged care. He completed his Master of Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Newcastle and started to work as an NP in March 2021. Jitender’s career started as an Assistant in Nursing in 1999 when he first migrated to Australia from a small village in India.
- Driven by a deep passion for aiding others and delivering high level care, Jitender pursued further education, completing a Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Western Sydney and worked as Registered Nurse, Nurse Educator, Clinical Manager, ACFI Coordinator, Assistant Director of Nursing and has been providing quality care to elderly residents in aged care facilities and communities around Australia.
- Jitender then completed a Master's in Nurse Practitioner from the University of Newcastle. NPs work in advanced practice roles and provide high levels of clinically focused, autonomous nursing care in a variety of contexts within Australia and provide care to people and communities with problems of varying complexity. NPs can provide services eligible for rebates through Medicare.
